The UCC Power Fund was birthed out of a growing need and desire to speak and act more explicitly regarding the policies and elected officials’ decision-making that impact our daily lives.
The UCC Power Fund is a community-powered force that disrupts, dismantles, and transforms local decision-making processes. We seek to build the people and political power necessary to win racial, social, and economic justice initiatives in Kent County and beyond.
We believe in harnessing our people power to organize our communities and reclaim governance that reflects our collective needs.

We exist to build the people and political power necessary to win racial, social, and economic justice initiatives in Kent County.
That means empowering everyday residents to engage local decision-makers, shape the political agenda, and reclaim governance that truly serves our collective needs.
Join the MovementThe UCC Power Fund (UCC PF) was founded in 2023 with a bold vision: to harness our collective power and demand real change in Kent County.
We recognize that local decisions, from city commission policies to school board votes, greatly influence our daily lives.
By rallying community members around shared goals of racial, social, and economic justice, we've quickly become a community-powered force that fearlessly challenges oppressive systes.

As a 501(c)4 project, UCC Power Fund has the freedom to be unapologetically candid about legislation, policies, and candidates.
This status allows us to:
We don't hold back on calling our unjust power structures.
We endorse and back those who share our commitment to challenging inequities and uplifting our communities.
We actively organize around initiatives that put power back into the hands of the people.
